Course Overview

The aim of the course is equip the participants with the necessary skills to be able to plan land survey missions using ebee UAV’s for data collection, implement said mission and then process the resulting data.

The Course runs for 3 days and be split into classroom and field based sessions.

Participant Requirements

  • Basic understanding of geography.

  • Basic computer operation skills

  • Laptop with following specifications:

  • Workflow overview

  • UAV platform

  • Data collection sensor

  • Flight planning with eMotion

  • Flight operations

  • Data import and correction with eMotion.

  • Data processing with Pix4D.

The course shall end with a brief oral, written and practical test to confirm that the participant has gained a full understanding of the core requirements for safe UAV operation.

All participants who pass the test will be awarded a certificate verifying that they are now certified to operate the ebee platform and perform data processing with Pix4D. All other participants shall be awarded a certificate of participation, detailing areas covered.

Cost

Individual: $1,500
Group rate: Negotiable starting at $500 per person.

Optional modules can be added to the training, included but not limited to

  1. Different sensors, e.g Multispectral and NIR, (Near Infrared)

  2. Specialized survey skills, e.g Corridor mapping

  3. Alternate processing tools, e.g OpenDroneMap.

  4. Data management.
